Washington State Allows Sidewalk Robots

Washington State passed House Bill 1325 on Wednesday, creatively named “Regulating Personal Delivery Devices” – PDDs for short. Since the Govern appears to have had the bill delivered to his desk by a (Starship) robot, its pretty Starship was deeply involved in the legislation. They’re definitely tweeting about it at @starship.

Though I’m anti-acronym, I’m pro-PDD, so let’s roll with that for the moment while I secretly hope that PDD doesn’t become an industry standard term.
